  • The Brain Trauma Foundation works to improve the prognosis and outcomes for people who suffer from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).  Research has found that not all brain damage occurs at the moment of impact; much of it happens, rather, over the hours and days after the initial injury.  The Brain Trauma Foundation has created scientifically based diagnostic and treatment Guidelines in collaboration with medical organizations and physicians experienced with TBI.

They work to educate healthcare professionals to use these Guidelines; they encourage and support brain research; and they work tirelessly with communities to educate about TBI.

As the Chairman of the Board of the Brain Trauma Foundation, Alan Quasha helps to further the organizations lofty goals.  Approximately 1.5 million head injuries happen in American each year; Mr. Quasha and the Brain Trauma Foundation work to ensure the use of better treatment guidelines, more research and better outreach through education so that lives can be saved and made richer after brain trauma.
